What to Expect on Game Day

Before the Game:

  • Planning to drive to Honda Center? General parking is currently included for events in the venue’s on-site lots, including Katella Garage and Cerritos Garage. Because parking policies can change, check Honda Center’s official Know Before You Go information before heading to the arena.
  • Are you heading to a game on Sunday? Don’t miss The Hockey Spot! It’s open from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm every Sunday home game and includes a bounce house, table hockey, street hockey, a slap shot challenge, and so much more!
  • Ready to explore the neighborhood? Check out local OC favorites Salty Dawg Tavern, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, Lopez & Lefty’s, JT Schmid’s Restaurant & Bar, King’s Fish House, Tilted Kilt, Danny K’s Billiards & Sports Bar, Solita Tacos & Margaritas, and many others!
  • If you’d like to avoid some of the game day crowds while you fuel up, make a reservation at our very own Hanagi Japanese Restaurant right here at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel! Our sushi bar offers the freshest and most creative sushi options, and we also have interactive Hot Pot and Shabu-Shabu meals, making Hanagi Japanese Restaurant an excellent spot for a pre-hockey game, family-friendly dinner!
  • Doors open 90 minutes before the puck drop. The Anaheim Ducks’ colors are orange, black, and white. Head into the Honda Center early and take a stroll through the team store (located on the South side of Honda Center) to stock up on everything you need to show off your team spirit! Jerseys, hoodies, hats, patches, and pins are popular game-day attire. Don’t forget to grab a commemorative puck to take home with you!
  • Per the Honda Center’s FAQs: “Signs are allowed as long as they are not derogatory, obscene, do not block the view of other guests, and are not attached to a pole of any kind. Generally, the size limit of signs is 26 in. x 30 in. Make a great sign? Make sure to stop by the front desk and show our team before you leave!
  • Here are a few other rules and tips to keep in mind:
    • Honda Center Bag Policy: For Anaheim Ducks games, bags and purses must currently be no larger than 4 in. x 6 in. x 1.5 in. and are subject to inspection. Backpacks are not permitted. Medical and diaper bags have separate size allowances and screening requirements. Always check Honda Center’s official policy before attending, as requirements may change.
    • Honda Center Security Searches: All entry doors have walk-through metal detection systems where you will be screened before you enter.
    • Honda Center Food & Beverage Policy: No outside food or beverage is allowed in the building during a game.
    • Honda Center Cashless Payments: Cash is not accepted at Honda Center. Cashless payment methods are the only payments accepted. All major credit, debit, and mobile payments are accepted. This includes parking, merchandise, concessions, the box office, and on-site restaurants.

During the Game:

  • Get ready to “Quack, Quack, Quack!” Just like in the movie, you’ll often hear chants of “Quack, Quack, Quack” during a Ducks game! It can get pretty loud in the Honda Center during a game, so be sure to come ready to cheer! “Let’s Go Ducks!” is another chant commonly used to rally the team and show support! Some fans bring duck calls and other noisemakers to games, adding to the atmosphere and creating a unique auditory experience.
  • While there are plenty of arguments over who the best Anaheim Ducks players are, there’s no denying who the fan favorite is! The Ducks’ mascot, Wild Wing, is popular with fans of all ages! Wild Wing is an anthropomorphic duck character often seen shaking his tail feathers at games, interacting with fans, and entertaining the crowd. He was the first mascot in National Hockey League history to descend onto the ice from the rafters of the arena, and he is known for his daredevil stunts and big attitude. Check the schedule; you’re in for a real treat if you come for a game against the Los Angeles Kings or Detroit Red Wings, as he considers them some of the biggest Anaheim Ducks’ rivals.
  • During TV timeouts, keep your eyes out for the Power Players and the Ice Crew! The Power Players are a fantastic, high-energy team that handles in-game entertainment on and off the ice during home games! Between the Ice Crew and the Power Players, they take care of everything from cleaning the ice to organizing awesome in-game promotions.
  • Stay in your seats during intermissions; youth hockey teams often get the chance to take the ice for an intermission shoot-out during a Ducks game! Be sure to cheer on these young hockey players just as loudly as you cheer for our Ducks!

After the Game:

  • You can head back out to any of the local bars and restaurants to (hopefully) celebrate a Ducks win and explore the neighborhood!
  • Or, make your way back to the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel and celebrate with us! Relax in our outdoor heated pool or whirlpool, grab a late-night snack, beer, or wine at the California Deli, or head to the Garden Court Bistro for a full bar and dining menu!
