Thanksgiving 2025 can become more than a day around the dining table. It can be the beginning of a magical family tradition: a holiday getaway in Anaheim built around Disneyland® Resort. From the moment guests arrive, the parks are already dressed for the season, and staying close by means comfort, ease, and togetherness.
Holiday Magic Begins Early — What to Expect in Late November 2025
Holidays at Disneyland® Resort
The 2025 holiday season officially begins on November 14 and runs through January 7, 2026. On and after November 14, the resort will be fully decked out: Sleeping Beauty Castle sparkling with icicles, garlands along Main Street, seasonal lighting, and a festive overlay across attractions. That means a Thanksgiving trip, even on Thursday, November 27, 2025, falls right amid full holiday décor, entertainment, and themed experiences.
Parades, Fireworks & Entertainment
- A Christmas Fantasy Parade returns for the 2025 season from November 14 onward.
- The nighttime “Believe… in Holiday Magic” fireworks and snowfall presentation typically runs during the holiday season, adding that extra sparkle over the castle.
- Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad! also return in 2025, bringing multicultural holiday entertainment and food booths at Disney California Adventure.
- Seasonal overlays on attractions, such as Haunted Mansion Holiday and “it’s a small world” Holiday, will be in effect. (These are longstanding seasonal features and are expected for 2025.)
Between the parade, fireworks, themed entertainment, and festive overlays, the experience feels truly immersive this time of year.
Savoring Thanksgiving (and Holiday Flavors)
Thanksgiving at Disneyland® Resort doesn’t have a standalone “Thanksgiving park event,” but the culinary teams weave holiday flair into menus and character dining for 2025.
Character Dining & Special Meals
- Goofy’s Kitchen (Disneyland Hotel) and Storytellers Café (Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel) will host Thanksgiving Day Character Dining experiences. Reservations open October 9, 2025.
- Buffets will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, seasonal desserts, and visits from Disney characters.
- Other sit-down restaurants in the parks and resort hotels (Carnation Café, Blue Bayou, Café Orleans, etc.) are expected to feature holiday-inspired dishes around that date.
Quick Service & Seasonal Treats
- In the parks, turkey legs, corn on the cob, and seasonal sides are typically available in quick-service lines or carts.
- Unique holiday treats, available from mid-November to January, include festive churros, themed cookies, gingerbread items, holiday pastries, and specialty desserts.
- A “Plaza Inn A Christmas Fantasy Dining Package” will be available from November 16, 2025, with a holiday lunch menu and reserved viewing for the second parade.
- At Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace (beginning November 14), a holiday menu featuring meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits, and desserts will be available, along with access to fireworks viewing.
With all these options, guests can mix classic Thanksgiving fare with Disney holiday treats.

After a busy day taking in the sights and sounds of the Disneyland® Resort, many families like to slow things down with a cozy, sit-down meal nearby. The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel’s Thanksgiving Celebration Dinner Buffet is the perfect way to do just that. On Thursday, November 27, 2025, our Garden Court Bistro will serve a traditional Thanksgiving feast, with goodies being served up from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Families with young kids will enjoy a visit from Princess Corinne, who will be roaming the castle, greeting our Thanksgiving guests in the afternoon! It’s a relaxed, welcoming way to enjoy Thanksgiving. No crowds, no cooking, just good food and family time in a setting that still feels magical.
Turning Thanksgiving into a Tradition at Disneyland® Resort
Why Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel Is a Smart Choice
- The property’s grounds, castle-inspired touches, garden courtyards, and relaxed pace make for a magical stay that complements the Disneyland® Parks experience.
- Free shuttle service (the “Dream Machine”) runs from the hotel to Disneyland® Resort, minimizing the hassle of parking and transit.
- Spacious accommodations and gathering spaces make it easy for families and multiple generations to linger together before and after park days. (That comfort becomes especially welcome during a holiday weekend.)
Who says Thanksgiving has to happen around the same dining table every year? At Disneyland® Resort and Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel, families can still share all the traditions that make the holiday special — great food, laughter, gratitude, and time together — just with a little extra magic in the mix. Between the twinkling lights on Main Street, the smell of roasted turkey at the hotel buffet, and the joy of experiencing it all side by side, this kind of Thanksgiving proves you don’t have to stay home to feel right at home.
