The shoulder seasons for Disneyland® Park are late August through October and January till May. But Disneyland® Park and summer have gone together hand in hand, like peanut butter and jelly, since the park opened in July 1955. Weekends are generally busier at Disneyland Resort than midweek.
If you are staying at Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel through a weekend, Saturday and Sunday might be a good time to hit the beach and take a theme park break. There are several Southern California beaches that are just a short drive from Anaheim. Newport Beach is located 18 miles from the hotel.
The early bird and all.
Even though your family might grumble, the rule for a visit to Disneyland® Resort is the earlier the better. Both Disneyland® Park and Disneyland® Resort California Adventure are least crowded from opening until about 11:30 a.m. As a Disneyland Good Neighbor® Hotel our guests with a Disneyland Resort 3-day passes or more can also enjoy Disneyland® Resort’s Magic Mornings, which gets you in an hour before the official opening time. You can skip the ticket lines all together and purchase your Disneyland® Tickets at the hotel’s Disney Desk when you check in. Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel is one of the only Anaheim hotels that is an authorized Disney ticket seller. Feel free to purchase your Disneyland®Tickets online before you arrive.
Fastpass or bust.
These magical passes allow you to come back at your appointed time and breeze through the long lines to ride the Disneyland® Park’s most popular attractions. Try not to smile too big as you pass the visitors stuck waiting in the standby line. Caveat, your entry ticket can only generate one Fastpass at a time, and some rides run out of Fastpass tickets early in the day so plan accordingly for your must-do experiences.
Your “Dream Machine” awaits.
Disneyland® Resort gets a bit more crowded from noon through the afternoon so hop on Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel’s Dream Machine shuttle and head
back to the hotel for a relaxing lunch in our Garden Court Bistro, a dip in the pool, and a bit of relaxation. It might also be the perfect time for a nap. Then you will be rested and ready to take on the park at night and enjoy Disneyland® Resort’s spectacular nightly fireworks show.

When the lines are just too long, plan to catch one of the fabulous parades or shows with your friends and family. These mega spectaculars, like Disneyland® Resort California Adventure Park’s Frozen in the Hyperion Theatre, are incredible and are the perfect respite on a hot summer day.

Disneyland® Resort stays open until midnight and Disneyland® Resort California Adventure Park is open until 10 p.m. The new shows for the 60th anniversary are definitely worth a late night.
